Call for Art Entries: Be’chol Lashon | Shemspeed

Artists! Be’chol Lashon and Shemspeed are looking for you!

Open call to Jewish artists from racially or ethnically diverse backgrounds or Jews whose work has an emphasis on expanding notions of what Jewish ‘looks’ like. Pieces should be 2D and no larger than 3 x 4 ft. Your work will be featured as part of the Shemspeed Summer Festival and will be displayed at the Gallery Bar on Orchard Street in New York.

The exhibit will be held on July 29, 2010. Entries are due June 30th (!). There is no entry fee. Zip. Nada. Submissions should be sent in a compressed .zip file and can be submitted via free file services, yousendit.com or www.sendspace.com. Submissions should be sent in .jpg format and mailed to submissions@shemspeed.com

So all you ‘artistes’ get cracking because this is one heck of an opportunity to display your ‘skillz’ and you don’t have a lot of time.

Judios Latinos presents Feria ArtisticaDuality

92YTribeca is proud to partner with Judios Latinos for a very special exhibition of work from emerging Latin artists. Based on the conflict that arises from belonging to two worlds at once, DUALITY showcases multi-disciplinary work from:

  • Karen Dana

  • Marcos Bucay
  • Liora Rimoch
  • The opening reception will be on Saturday, June 12 from 8-10pm and is free to the public. The exhibit will run from June 12th until Aug 1st and is co-sponsored by the 92Y Resource Center for Jewish Diversity.
