Courtenay Edelhart

Courtenay Edelhart is the daughter of two social workers, one an African-American gentile and the other an Ashkenazi Jew. She serves on the board of her temple, and brings more than two decades of newspaper reporting experience to her position as JMN’s listserv moderator and as the editor of the JMN website. Courtenay lives in California with two wild children, a microscopic dog with the attitude of a pitbull, and assorted dying houseplants.



Hanna Lancer

Hanna LancerHanna Lancer brings a deep passion and life commitment to empowering youth of color through the combined study of Torah, Jewish, African and African American history, culture and identity.  Hanna has previously worked with youth as a Counselor and Camp Director in the U.S. and internationally.  She has worked with JMN for the past four years as a Youth Counselor. Upon graduation from college, Hanna moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Television/Film Video Editing. She has worked in Post-Production Editing for the Tyra Banks Show and Weller-Grossman Productions among other notable projects. Hanna is married to Jared Lancer and they are the proud parents of newborn son, Eliyah Emmett Moishe. They currently reside in Chicago and are active members of K.A.M. Isaiah Israel Congregation Temple.
