The first show of its kind, Jews of Color explores the cultural and ethnic diversity of the Jewish community, sharing the unique perspectives of Jews from African-American, Asian, Hispanic and other non-”white” backgrounds. Defying our collective assumptions about what it means to be a Jew and shedding light on perspectives that are too often ignored by the broader Jewish community, Jews of Color is not to be missed.
Featuring: host Joel Sanchez (Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services), Aliza Hausman (Blogger, “Memoirs of a Jewminicana”), Akira Ohiso (Author, “Survivor”), Yitz Jordan a.k.a. Y-Love (Rapper, Writer, Activist), and Yavilah McCoy (Jewish Education Advocate and Founder, Ayecha).

Wonderful news!
I don’t have cable so will the episodes be available online to watch also?
Tali Adina,
Since The Jewish Channel hasn’t mention a rebroadcast on their website, I doubt if they will have webcasts of this program. I think our best opportunity will be for someone in the membership or the general public to record the broadcast and make it available on a service like YouTube or Vimeo.
If someone is willing to do this (hint, hint) and notify us, we’ll post the link here. If someone wants to provide the footage, we’ll post it on a service or even on this site, since it is groundbreaking television.
I watched it on the Cablevision Jewish channel last-nite. I would like to see more and keep in contact with the Jews of color. I’m of Sephardic & Mizrahi ancestry. One grandfather, (Forti) is of Sephardic descent and the other grandfather, (Jordan) is of Mizrahi. Because I don’t have white skin I always have to educate whites and black about the many skin types of the Jewish people.

Steve, as far as we know, The Jewish Channel will NOT be broadcasting online. If someone records it and make it available on YouTube, Vimeo or another service, we’ll post that link here.
Has anyone found an online link yet?
